      Where Memories Today, Inspire Change Tomorrow

      This folder has our 3 events in one due to rain postponing our Butterfly Release and our Re-Everything Rally. These 2 events combined with our First Annual Gala Fundraiser was a success. Here are a few photos and videos of the event. Butterfly Release: Painted Lady butterflies released in memory of loved ones. This fundraiser supported our future project of The Memory Gardens Orchard where trees, shrubs, perennials are planted in Memory of .. and the produce harvested from the food forest goes towards The Sharing Basket program recognizing the person or family for generations feeding our communities. Re-Everything Rally is our Annual event for eco vendors who up-Cycle and repurpose items giving them a second chance to life keeping them out of the landfills. this promotes a better business model than the wasteful commercial one time use model we see daily. This event helps bring awareness to the Buy Nothing movement, the Re-fashion , Re-design, Re-create, Re-purpose, ... and what Emerald Gardens calls the RE-EVERYTHING RALLY lets make this the norm for our community. Our 3rd Event was our Gala Fundraiser: Enchanted Emerald Masquerade Ball This event was our first Annual Gala to raise money for many needed projects and programs to help our communities. We had Youngdanceinc.com DJ with fun music for dancing, amazing food by 4/80 treats, the Osbern Acres Venue was incredible, and all the support of those who donated to our Silent Auction , Farm and Home, Curly Girls restaurant, Dinner Seasoned With Love nonprofit and many individuals that made our silent auction a success.         Emerald Gardens wants to Thank Youngdanceinc.com for their support for not only being the DJ at our Gala but also having a Vendor Booth at Re-Everything Rally. If you are wanting to make your special day with a few dance moves check out private lessons. Our guests at the Gala who had never danced enjoyed dancing with Jon he makes the moves easy and fun to learn.

        October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month, a time dedicated to celebrating individuals with Down syndrome and increasing public understanding of the condition. It's a period for promoting inclusion, advocacy, and recognizing the abilities and accomplishments of people with Down syndrome. consider ordering T-Shirts from Chris to support local awareness.

        Dinner Seasoned With Love is one of many partnerships Emerald Gardens is proud to support. They offer a community Meal every 3rd Saturday of the month and welcome all to join for not only yummy food but conversations that build our community stronger. Join us in bringing our community to the table.

      Received our first grant from Springfield Civic Garden Club April 2024 to install 48 raised beds. The Taylorville High School Shop Class made the 48 raised beds, finished building them January 2025. Emerald Gardens Board Members completed installation and filling of the beds on 3/28/2025.

      Program to reduce textiles from landfills while providing coats and blankets to community members. This program sorts, donated textiles, and offers workshops for learning to sew while projects are donated to local outreach programs. Contact us for workshop schedules. 2024 had 4 sewing machines donated and 22 bags of textiles. donated dresser to storage donated textiles. Our goal is to have items made for Re-Everything Rally Fashion show to showcase the project and raise more funds.

      January 2025, started new year with a laptop that was donated, grant funds for internet for office, classroom, research documenting nonprofit programs and so many essential needs. Seed starting for the Gardens of Generosity , and document first Snow fall of the year.
