Gardens of Generosity Volunteer
Sign up to help with any of the following: Spring Mulching for easier spring and summer weed control, Planting, Watering, Weeding as needed, Harvesting, The Sharing Basket Program: Transporting Harvest to Pantries, Shelters, etc
Memory Gardens Orchard Volunteers
We are Seeking 200 or more volunteers to register so we may apply for a fruit tree grant and we need at least half as many volunteers as trees. We are wanting to apply for 400 to 500 trees and the grant requires volunteers to plant trees in one day. Thus each Volunteer will plant a minimum of one tree each. The first 200 volunteers to sign up will be able to Name one tree in memory of their loved one for planting. All other trees are $65 donation for purchasing additional trees not apart of the grant. A brick may be purchased through Bricks R Us as a marker for your tree in memory of loved ones name and other info you wish to be engraved. find out more when you sign up as a Memory Gardens Orchard volunteer. also check out additional donations to the project to cover costs not included in the grant , such as deer fencing protection, irrigation watering needs, other maintenance, or costs above and beyond the grant. We will only be able to apply for this grant once we have community support to plant and care for the Orchard. THE SHARING BASKET: Delivery Transport
These volunteers will donate time and transportation to haul/ deliver produce from Emerald Gardens to our partnerships within 50 miles of our site. volunteers may choose their delivery schedule and sites.
Spring
Prepare Garden Raised Beds for Planting, Mulch walkways/paths, build any new additions to the gardens We have 3 greenhouses supplying our location, in 2025 we had over 22,000 plants donated that needed to be planted as soon as possible a Spring Planting TEAM is critical for increasing the bounty these donations will create. Please join our spring planting TEAM
Landscape Maintenance
Mulching, Mowing, Display Beds planted & weeded general outdoor cleanup.
Fall
Leaf Blowing to stage new beds for following year, leaf piles for promoting insect over wintering, try not to "mow" leaves as much as possible, use leaves as bed mulching and composting prepare beds for winter cover raised beds with cardboard and mulch to prevent weed-seed prep any areas with cardboard and mulch that will become garden planting the following spring SEED harvest for SEED-BANK

Fencing to keep deer out of gardens Trellises Arbors raised beds patio brick paths for wheelchair accessible Camp firepits Meditation/Zen Gardens Display Gardens and so much more including Children StoryBook Land creative ideas
Donation Station: Recycling - Sorting and processing
Donation Station is our area that community members donation materials for building using on site we are in NEED of those who LOVE to create and build with materials, or are DYI specialists that can help use these generous donations to create needed projects at EG. Seeking a Volunteer or crew willing to pick up littering along the roadways as sort these items for Recycling
