This program is our food production community garden. Youth will be able to design, plant, maintain, and harvest knowing their hard work provides for others. Youth will engage in problem-solving, creativity and other skill building activities as well as development of character as their hard work builds a stronger community.
This pollinator project we are seeking Youth and young adults interested in gaining skills with nature, natives, biodiversity, horticulture, 4H, FFA, Horticulture Clubs, or those who just have a passion for flowers, butterflies, pollinators. This project is to seed and plant 4 to 10 acres of the 18-acre site in natives. Promoting education about pollinators we are seeking youth and young adults that want to give tours of the grounds and help educate those who visit Emerald Gardens throughout the summer. These students will be leaders and learn public relation skills, public speaking, engaging with youth who visit on field trips. This youth and young adult engagement encouraging students to share and build skills generation to generation. mentors will help students build skills as they volunteer learning native plants and pollinators as well as spearheading youth interactive learning on garden walks. join us if you are interested in a summer of building and being a part of Native Knolls project. contact us for more information as we are in the grant request stages to obtain funding to seed these gardens.

Youth and Young Adults will help plant and care for the orchard and food forest guilds, learning about syntropic design, permaculture, horticulture and more. Students will engage in maintaining the orchard, designing new areas when available, harvesting the fruit for "The Sharing Basket" program and many other community and life skill opportunities.
Teens and Young Adults may engage in designing and building outdoor learning areas for our StoryBook Land learners. These area will need willing and creative students that are creative and ideas to make an enchanted forest learning environment. Students and Young adults that was to gain knowledge and experience with spearheading ideas, leading committee meetings and helping network and advertise in the community. These students will gain life skills as they bring their passions to life with mentors and adults who support the next generation stepping into more responsibility and roles that impact careers.
